Snowy weather!

The snow is falling down like never before, I wanted summer! It's no idea to go somewhere because I have to digg out my car first. I don't even want to take a step outside the door, haha! The snow is everywhere! will be inside my shoes if I go out. Made cookies, again! Should have added more flour, I can see that now, but they taste pretty good. I can't believe that 120 people have frozen to death in Poland, that is horrible. I don't like the winter!

On New Year'e eve I went to my cousin with my mom and dad, we didn't stay there very long, but long enough to play with the kids, they are full of energy I can tell you. My dad had bought the most ... there is no word for it.. haha! plastic glasses in some grocery store, blinking glasses. I have a photo that I'll post later. I worked the day after, that is kind of why I didn't do anything special I bought hot rollers, it's really funny to curl your hair. They are so easy to use and the result is just fantastic, love 'em! On my camera you kind of have to pull out the flas if you wanna use it, it's not very often I do, since I hate the yellowish tone the photos get. Like this photo of Mia, really annoying, I know I could photoshop a little, but I think I have to play around with the settings in my camera. Just have to buy new batteries first, I think the old ones have been charged up one time to many.

Cookie experiment

I spent the afternoon baking and this is the result. Really interesting. I used another recipe, which might have been bad since I can't compare those with the others. But It was the look and not the taste I wanted to improve, and the tips I found and received.

I used my scales to measure everything to be more exact. This recipe said: melt the butter and add the sugar and the egg, mix until light. I mixed for about 30 seconds, the batter was then lighter in color.

After I had added the flour mixture (as said in the recipe + I added 1 table spoon of corn starch) I divided the dough into two. I added so much flour that it wasn't sticky to the second one, and didn't do anything with the first one.

I made cookie balls and put the ones with more flour in the fridge (except from one that I put in the freezer and one that I had in room temperature). Then I took the sticky dough ones and put them in the fridge (except from one that I put in the freezer).

The last thing I did was to take a little from the sticky (about 1/3 cup) dough and add 1 extra tablespoon of corn starch.

I heated the oven to 200 degrees celsius instead of 170 that the recipe said and waited until it was hot (I waited for 10 minutes extra or something just to be sure). I had the "fridge cookies" in the oven for 8 minutes and the freezer ones for 12. The only ones that weren't "bubbly" - that is what I call it was the cornstarch ones (and the frozen, but they don't count because they were and are a disaster haha!)

So what did I learn? It doesn't matter if you have the cookies in the fridge or in room temperature (the dough had room temperature since the butter was melted when I mixed everything).

To have the dough in the freezer, which I read somewhere, is NOT good. I had to flatten them down with a spoon because I didn't want them to look like.. I don't know.. hahha! The worst cookies I have ever seen! I WILL NEVER TRY THAT AGAIN! But I guess I maybe did something wrong. But it doesn't matter anyway, I mean look at them!

It's actually good to add cornstarch to the dough because that keeps the cookies "high" and not flat. You can see on the photos for more details.

Maybe I should add that I tasted them too, haha! The ones that I had in the freezer was more crunchy, and didn't taste as good as the others. I couldn't notice any difference in taste between the cornstarch ones and the others. I think I like chocolate chocolate chip cookies more, I added raisins to these ones instead of chocolate. This was the first time I melted the butter instead of creaming it. The only difference is (from what I can see) is that the become more crunchy if you melt the butter and more soft if you just cream it. I will not use melted butter again.

Next time (in a couple of months, we now have lot of cookies) I'll add more cornstarch and I think experiment with the temperature in the oven. try a lower and higher temperature. I think I will have so many cookies that they'll last until next year (Lucky me it's just a couple of days left of 2009)

I laugh at myself, I guess that must be the most boring and crappy TV series there is? Haha! That car KITT is just so the 80's, not to talk about the main Characters hairstyle (Everyone knows I can't remember any names, I can't remember his name)

It's written in the stars, or in the cards

Last year or the year before, I can't remember when, I bought a pack of tarot cards. Just for fun, actually hahah! I didn't know until that day that you can by those kind of cards in a book shop. I know now.

Anyway I bought them just for fun, but the funniest thing is that when you lay a spread it's almost like it feels like it.. hmm... I know it's so easy to think, Oh well, everything feels like it's about you if you concentrate and don't have your eyes open. It's like when you have a look at your horoscope, I mean you can't say that it's true. But after all does it matter? I think it's kind of fun, and it was a long time since I had that pack of cards in my hands so I laid out a spread (the Celtic cross). I have some cards called Druid Craft and Wicca, I chose them just because I liked the images.

I have thought about school and work stuff pretty much lately, I really want a job, but there ain't no jobs so I have to choose school, which sucks because that doesn't give me any money – I have to lend money. Then I can't choose what to focus on, I mean I have had 10 jobs so far, I think I know what I want, but I'm not sure I dare to do ..what I want. Ok, but this is what the cards said:

(What is now). A turning point has arrived. You have been in a time with less/no money and no job. Work on your relationships and base them on a more solid ground.

(What crosses) What you need to think of, or the problem is that you are giving without personal gain.

(What is beneath – what the situation is based on). You think it's hard to trust yourself – open up and find a greater trust in yourself.

They think they are stupid and that money doesn't make you happier. Which I know is true, but I hate to be extremely economic all the time.) You are on your own and you have the opportunities. Search for a full filled life. What matters in life will make you succeed. (Someone just told me this, scares me, because I really think it is true)

(What is wished for, goals). You want challenges (challenges connected to teams or a group of people), or intellectual challenges. You want to be good at communication. (This is so true, I want to become a good coach (life coach or team coach.. or even better.. something I have been thinking about, but that I won't tell you now)

(What may come). There is an ongoing process towards your goal. It is a steady progress that will give you money and success if you set the goals – which you have to do. Concentrate on each step in the process at a time. Developing your skills. Work is love in action.

I mean this looks pretty good, now we just have to wait for the new year to come and see what it brings. I applied for a couple of jobs, as said, I'm still waiting.

I need cookie-advice!

This is what they look like. 9 out of 10 times when I make cookies they turn out like this. I have tried to put the batter in the fridge before I bake them, tried to add more flour, and mix the batter for a longer time, but it doesn't help. Maybe I should try to do all those things with the same batter?

I had a cookie like the one below when I "fikade" with my mom and sister. So I searched for recipes on allrecipes.com and found this one. On the image the cookie looks pretty much like the one I ate, so I though: I have to try to make them. So I did and I followed the recipe exactely, but something went wrong. Does anyone have some advice or something. I'm in a cookie crisis :)...

I'm mad as hell!

Gosh I feel so ashamed. I can tell you something, the last 8 weeks or so have been like the worst weeks in my life. I guess there have been worse weeks, but it felt like these were the worst worst ever. Until now, or yesterday or something.

I was in such a bad mood that you can't even believe it! It felt like I had eaten 2 tons of lemons. You know when there has been traffic jam, but then suddenly the traffic flows again, the cars in the front always drive a little too fast, kind of rushing, no one wants to be late. It felt like that, like I was lying underneath those cars when the driver put his/her feet on the accelerator. And then all the cars after the first ones just drove over me, and the line of cars was so long that you couldn't see the end of it. But the last car has driven over me now, at least it feels like that. Probably not the last one, but the last one in that line.

It felt like I was dead, it felt like I was 12 years old again, it felt really weird and I'm still angry. Mad as hell! Angry with myself! Sometimes you just do stupid things, like saying yes too often and no too rarely. Then everything becomes kind of messed up. My god, I can tell you I really regret a bunch of things, but you can't change what was before, or what has happened, only be what you are right now and do your best to do your best. To feel good and make other people feel good.

I have decided that from now on I am going to try my best to feel my best and do everything I can to be what I want to be. I have to make a plan and start "working"!

It feels like I have to move, a person I know (no name) has moved into the house next to the house which I live in. At first it felt ok, but now it doesn't. I have no "enemies", but there are people I like more and people I like a little less. It feels like I want to be a very good coach, learn more and gain more experience. I need a job, and actually I have applied for a couple, so now I just have to wait, hope, and see. My chance is not big, but I hope for something.

What I hate most is that I sometimes only say half of the truth. Let's say that someone asks me about something, and then it just feels there is no word for it. For example if I'm together with someone who asks me what I would like to eat, it just feels like I can't say what I really want, so then I say: I don't know. BUT I DO KNOW! I know what I would like to eat. Then someone asks me what do you want to do in he future. Then I answer: I don't know. BUT I DO KNOW! It just feels like I can't say what I want to say because I'm going to be laughed at or someone will say that is just stupid, or who can eat something like that or something that in the end really doesn't matter at all. HOW STUPID ISN'T THAT? Stupid as hell I guess!

You know I was in such a bad mood that I though: I have to buy candy. I was so angry that I couldn't even eat, I felt sick it was just weird. But I really like those red jelly hearts, so I went to a candy shop and bought some, I always pay with my charge card because I never have any cash so I had to sign the receiept and I was so angry that I had a hard time writing my name, the funniest thing is that I wasn't upset or something, I was really calm. It may sound like I was going crazy, hahah! but it wasn't like that.

As said, I have to make a plan. I really have to think about something that will get me in the right direction, I think the thing is that I want so much that I can't choose. But if I do I can do that thing and be good at that thing, not do 1098489 things and be a little little good at everything, that just makes me exhausted. Not that I'm not going to stop doing all the things I like to do, but I don't have to try my hardest to do my best, but instead do all that stuff because I think it's fun.

I have realized that the friends I had before are now singing with celeberties, they are on television, in the news papers, they are playing golf with some of the best gold players in Sweden. That is pretty cool. I don't want to be famous, but I want success. I guess I was pretty jealous, everything happened after we bacame friends so it wasn't like those things were there from the beginning, sometimes things like those makes you really tired.

I have broken up with the "frineds" I thought I had. It feels kind of good, but scary. Takes a lot of, what I suppose is, curage to kind of say "bye bye" to 50% of all your friends. But I realize now that they did things that friends don't do, but I did things that friends do to them, but I never really got that much back.I can't change that, but I can watch myself so I don't do the same thing again.

All this happened because someone said something to me that no one had told me before. It wasn't something bad, I guess it was only good, it just scared me.

I'm really looking forward to the new year!

I went to Varberg and had to buy ice cream, even though it was 5 degrees C below outside :)

A lot of things to do before New Year

My grandma has always said something that I find pretty good, frightening and superstitious at the same time. She says that like you have it on New year's eve - that is how your year will be. Or maybe I should say not how you have it, but how you have made it. So for example if you are ill or having the flu or whatever won't really make sense, but how clean your home is will. So that is why I always clean like I'm insane before New year.

I know that this is not really true, of course, but it's pretty good to think about all those things you always do, but you don't want to do or everything that is not like you want it to be, but you know that you can make a difference. Say for example that you always put your coffee cup on the kitchen counter instead of in the dish washer. Ok, so watch yourself on New year's eve and put that cup where it should be. Clean your home if you want it to be clean for the rest of the year..And if your year has been filled with stress, take it easy do things that you like and take care of yourself. A new year is always a start for something new, even though we not always want it that way. The good thing is that we can't know for sure what the new year will bring, so in some way we can actually choose, can't we? Do what we want. say no to those things we don'r want and yes to the rest, feel better, love the people we love even more and dream even bigger!
